Windows Live Writer

I have been using Microsoft’s Live Writer to publish my blog postings.  Not sure if you’ve tried it or not, but it’s really easy to use.  Easy to post pictures, you just insert the picture and you can size it crop it, etc, just like you would use other Office application.  Plus it’s free!  What can be better than that? 

I haven’t posted for a while, I keep thinking about it, but just don’t seem to find the time.  I always want to make the time but just haven’t been doing well at it.  I really should have made it a New Year’s Resolution, huh? 

Well here’s the sweetest present I received for Christmas, my little guy under the tree!

Heh, this is my 100th post, I think that is pretty monumental and deserves its own posting. Course now that I have posted the 100th post, I don't have anything to say, except, this is posting

I had trouble posting on my old blog, I'm going to try to do better on this one. I don't have to login from my google account to my yahoo account, so that will make it so much simpler to post.

At least that is what I am hoping!

My Prizes Arrived

I got my first Blog contest prizes in the mail yesterday! It was so exciting, I got these from Kristie, who had a contest on her blog not too long ago and I won!! It was really fun to get her package. So thank you Kristie!!!
I love seasons, so this book was really neat.
While I was taking pictures, I was thinking about my poor camera. I bought it back in April and it is really, really small. I just love how it fits in my purse or in my pocket (which is not a good idea sometimes!). When we went to Texas, a piece on the top of the camera came off that holds the button in, I was able to find it, but put a bandaid on it because that is all I had in the car and it was too little to put somewhere because I didn't want to lose it again. The bandaid worked so well, I have just left it on there.

So when I had my scooter wreck, I had my camera in my pocket, because you never know when you will have a spot you want to take a picture, right? Well, that is exactly the side I landed on and it cracked my screen. I was able to get a good picture of it with my old camera.

That is so sad, but I am AMAZED that it didn't damage it anymore. I can still see the pictures and it didn't hurt the quality of the pictures any.

Tomorrow I am getting a new coffee pot from Amazon.com. It's Keurig, one pot coffee maker. I can't wait!!! I have been wanting one ever since the Pioneer Woman posted a giveaway on her blog and told about how much she loved hers. So I finally cashed in some points on my MasterCard and ordered it...

I am so excited. I actually won something off a blog posting. Kristie drew my name from 58 people who posted on her site! You can click on the link and see the stuff she is going to send me. All quilting goodies!!! I can't wait to get it. Kristie lives in Kentucky and I just love reading her blog. She is such a great quilter and is always busy with her family, I don't know how she quilts as much as she does.

Still haven't heard anything about my laptop yet. I hope it can be saved.

Interesting Blog Information

I found this information on a site about mistakes that Bloggers make. One that annoys me is the music on the site. I like music but I just think it's really annoying and then I can never find a way to turn it off quick enough.

Well, I got my keyboard from Dell and replaced it. Wasn't too hard to do, took 2 screws off the bottom, then took the top part off the laptop where the on off button is at, then slipped the keyboard off and replaced it. The P key works now! Yeah.

I sure haven't done much sewing lately. I've just been too lazy and it is so nice outside, we have just been playing outside all the time.

Kasey spent the day with Grandma today while Daddy was helping Grandpa side their house. I would call over there to see how they were doing and Kasey would kiss the phone. It was so sweet.

Blog Giveaway

Well, I have been reading quilting blogs for a while and it seems that people are always winning stuff or giving stuff away. It is so fun to see what they win. One of my favorites that I read is ~CowGirlQuilter~. She lives out in the country in a beautiful spot in Kentucky and has 2 boys. She is a great poster and was the very first blog I ever read, I'm not even sure how I even found her blog. So I read for a while and then thought I would try it, so I could say she was my inspiration. She's posted her 300th posting on her blog and is giving some quilt stuff away. She wants you to post a comment on her site and then post a link on your site back to her site. I think I will give something away on my 100th posting. Maybe some of my holiday plastic cups. Ha! Just kidding.

One thing about blogging is that I love to read what people are doing. I have about 30 I read all the time and subscribe to bloglines.com which shows me what posting each person makes as an unread post. So it doesn't take that long to read. It is so much fun to read what people are working on in quilts, what they have done and what their family is doing. I really like Kristie's site the best because she has such a great heart and is really funny.
